Who Is The Best Dragon Of All Time?
Yesterday on Pardon My Take Big Cat and PFT interviewed Dan Reynolds, lead singer of Imagine Dragons (listen to full show here). Naturally the question “who is your favorite dragon” was asked and that got me thinking yesterday about who my favorite dragon was and more importantly who the greatest Dragon of all time was. The question was asked from the PMT twitter account and the answers were all over the place. Lets dive into the results and see if a winner can be determined .

– Blue Eyes White Dragon
AKA the most destructive, terrifying force in the entire Yu-Gi-Oh! universe. I don’t really remember any of the plot lines to Yu-Gi-Oh! other than that it was an absolutely fire Saturday morning cartoon and if you ever came into contact with a BEWD you were fucked. Although, is the Blue Eyes White Dragon even a dragon at all since technically it’s just a playing card? #EmbraceDebate
Dale “Dragon” Dobak
Doing this blog brought me to the realization that Will Ferrell fucking loves Dragons. There is the classic reference from Step Brothers above,
– In Old School his character Frank The Tank has a car he calls “The Red Dragon”
And in Starsky and Hutch there was this 5 minute scene that really had nothing else to do with the plot of the movie other than Will Ferrell being able to portray his love for Dragons once again. (sidenote, when people talk about the best Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller, Will Ferrel type movies Starsky and Hutch doesn’t get brought up nearly enough. Flawless film from start to finish.)

Bacardi Dragon Berry
AKA blackout it in a bottle. Being slightly buzzed off a few beers, getting one of these bad boys put in front of you and proceeding to black out for the rest of the night because it tastes so damn good. A tale as old as time, RT if you agree.
– Spyro the dragon
Not to familiar with Spyro cause my mom didn’t let me have video games in the house and my neighbors didn’t have Spyro in their collection but alot of people tweeted me him so I had to include him. I googled “Spyro The Dragon enemy” just to see what type of dragon shit he was dealing with and the first google search image was this guy so I’m not sure how gangster Spyro actually was if his biggest enemy was just a fat green blob holding a turkey leg.

Bruce Lee
Bruce Lee, certified bad ass, was a Hong Kong and American actor, film director, martial artist, martial arts instructor, philosopher, and founder of the martial art Jeet Kune Do. He starred in a movie called “Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story” so he had to make the list.
Dragons From Eragon
I never actually read the Eragon books but I had the blue one in my room growing up and the cover was always super cool to look at and from what I remember the people who did read the books liked them alot.
Dragon From Shrek
– Hands down sexiest dragon on this list no questions asked. Capable of breathing fire and burning down an entire village in 1 minute but also capable of loving, caring and having sexual relations with a donkey the next. Get you a womans who can do both.
Falkor The Dragon Of Luck (never ending story)
Alot of Dragons on this list are stereotypical dragons, fire breathing, antagonist, locked away in a castle or cave somewhere, things of that nature. Falkor is cut from a different cloth though, he is a wise dragon that brings good luck and helps little boys on their magic quests.
wow those special effects do not hold up in 2018.

Trogdor The Burninator
Strongbads big burninating boy was always a fan favorite in the Homestar cartoons and was so popular a song about him even appeared in Guitar Hero 2
Dragon Bender
Would have been higher on the list considering he’s the only human Dragon but if youre going to carry around the Dragon name you have to look the part and Dragon Bender certainly does not
Mix in some flame tattoos or some red or orange hair or something guy come on. He could learn a thing or two from Ben Affleck about how to wear the Dragon name with pride
Zak And Weezie From Dragon Tales
Last but not least, everyones favorite dragons from everyones favorite kids show growing up. Just kidding Dragon Tales was the worst but the theme song was so damn catchy I would end up watching every episode by accident
Just Missed The Cut
Mushu From Mulan
Technically he was a dragon but he was small as shit and couldn’t even breathe fire.
Charizard
Thought he was gunna be a favorite heading into this blog but after doing my research I learned via google that Charizard is known in Japan as Lizardon which means he is more of a lizard than a dragon. Sad.
Danaries Dragons From Game Of Thrones
This one was such a tough call. Obviously these GOT dragons are owned and operated by a smoke blonde which is always a plus and they breathe fire and always fuck shit up on the show but they just aren’t “Dragony” enough for my liking. They are definitely cool dragons or whatever but this is the list of “Greatest Dragons Of All Time” and a sad fact of that is that every run of the mill dragon isn’t going to make the list.
