The Brother Of Janoris Jenkins Has Been Charged With Aggravated Manslaughter For The Dead Body Found At Janoris' House Yesterday

An interesting but not all that surprising story regarding the body found at Janoris Jenkins’ house. William Jenkins had allegedly been on a Jetblue flight to Florida where Janoris was before changing his mind.

And had been named as a person of interest and had already been picked up by the police for violating parole.

Ritts said authorities in Bergen County reached out to New York State Police on Tuesday to let them know that William Jenkins, 34, was someone they wanted to talk to about the discovery of Roosevelt Rene’s body in Jenkins’ Fair Lawn home. William Jenkins was already in police custody when Bergen County called, Ritts said.

On Tuesday, police officers in Ontario County responded to a call around 1:30 a.m. about a “suspicious condition” near a convenience store, Ritts said. While responding, police discovered Williams Jenkins, who they discovered had an outstanding warrant and arrested him, he said. According to public records, Williams is on parole in New York for prior convictions on charges of the criminal sale and possession of controlled substances — both class B felonies under New York state law.

So it seemed like there was at least a chance he was involved in this situation one way or the other. Like the Prosecutor’s Office tweet says, a charge does not mean anything other than accusations. But definitely not good news for the Jenkins family. We will obviously know more in the coming days as the investigators do what they do.
