Three Poachers Were Eaten By Lions When They Snuck Into A South African Nature Reserve To Hunt Rhinos
Newsweek- A pride of lions ate a group of poachers after they broke into a game reserve earlier this week in South Africa to hunt rhinoceroses. Three men were believed to have been eaten alive by the predators sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning after they entered the Sibuya Game Reserve in Kenton-on-Sea to hunt rhinos, Nick Fox, the park’s owner, told Newsweek. After the incident, authorities recovered the remains of their parts, three pairs of shoes, wire cutters, high-powered hunting rifles fitted with silencers and a type of ax that is commonly used by poachers to remove rhino horns.
“The only body part we found was one skull and one bit of pelvis, everything else was completely gone,” he said. “There is so little left that they don’t know exactly how many people were killed, we suspect three because we found three sets of shoes and three sets of gloves.”

HOWEVA, when it comes to poachers sneaking into a reserve so they can kill rhinos and sneak away with their horns, I gotta turn on my own kind and root for karma as well as the four-legged creatures minding their own business. There is something great about these animals taking a timeout from the Circle of Life to form a superteam and kill a crew of cowards looking for some fresh rhino parts. I imagine rhinos usually don’t need help since they are pretty much mini dinosaurs with armor skin and a couple of horns. But that advantage goes out the window when you are on a reserve and have a group of poachers armed to the tits with equipment designed to kill and mutilate rhinos. Which is why having the king of the jungle as an enforcer must be a pretty sweet the ace in the back pocket for all the animals at the Sibuya Game Reserve. Yeah if you are a rhino, there is a chance that later this week, a full grown Simba may take down one your auntie and eat her right in front of your face. That’s just how the food chain works. The game is the game, yo. But just know if three more dickheads with wire cutters and rifles come in horn hunting, those lions may be your last line of defense and are ready to answer the bell by turning those poachers into scraps. And in those scenarios, I am #TeamAnimal for life.
