Does Evel Knievel Need An Enforcer After Travis Pastrana Bested All Of His Most Historic Jumps In One Night?

So last night Travis Pastrana was in Las Vegas for what was called “Evel Live”. Pretty much all it was, was Pastrana dunking all over Evel Knievel. I know the event was supposed to be a “tribute” of sorts but what he did was take 3 of Evel’s most legendary jumps and then he one-upped the guy on all of them. In the first jump above, Travis Pastrana–the former Pastrana 500 presented by Barstool Sports star–jumped over 52 crushed cars. This was 2 more cars than Evel Knievel jumped over 9n 1973.

Next on deck, Pastrana swapped out some crushed up cars for a bunch of buses. Evel Knievel successfully jumped over 14 Greyhound buses back in 1975. Last night in Vegas, Pastrana decided to jump 16.

Not a big deal or anything. Just 2 jumps back-to-back in one night to wipe Evel Knievel out of the record books. But then it was the 3rd and final jump that was the real kicker here. Because on this last jump, it was one that Evel didn’t even land. In 1967, Evel Knievel attempted to jump the Caesars Palace Fountains. However, he ended up crashing on the landing and broke his ribs, hip, and had a crushed pelvis. Evel had to spend 29-days in the hospital after the crash. The jump damn near killed Evel Knievel. So what does Travis Pastrana go out there and do? Does the same exact jump but makes it look like he’s a kid just casually jumping off one of those plastic X-Factor ramps out in the street.

Did that shit with ease. Pretty sure he even sent a couple of texts while he was up there in the air.

Now I realize the whole night was supposed to be honoring Evel Knievel’s legacy. I know this was all done in tribute. But still. To take 3 of the guy’s most historic jumps and then dunk all over them like that in one single night? Cold world, man. It would be like if somebody came into the NHL and crushed all of Wayne Gretzky’s records in one season and then banged his daughter in the process. Obviously Travis Pastrana is a legend. He’s probably the best to ever do it. But throw the guy a bone or something. At least pretend to crash or something. If it weren’t for the fact that it was over 100 degrees in Vegas yesterday and he was wearing that suit, I don’t even know if Travis Pastrana would have broken a sweat. Just saying.
