Keanu Talking About John Wick 3 Has Me Ready To Bust

Reeves: Prepare for war. It’s part of that famous sentence, “Si vis pacem, para bellum,” which translates as, “If you want peace, prepare for war.”

CS: How does Halle’s character enhance Wick, who’s been kind of a lone wolf to this point?

Reeves: Yeah, John Wick is fighting for his life and thinks that Halle Berry’s character has some information for him. They have a past, and they get involved with The High Table, this kind of overlording entity. (laughs)”

Ironic Comingsoon did the interview since that’s basically what I said aloud while reading this. The title drawing it’s origin from that Latin phrase is so undeniably awesome. As a refresher, we left off the last movie with Wick killing that smug asshole Santino in the middle of The Continental, violating the rules of the hotel and the High Table. This left him with a 1 hour head start before a $14 million dollar open bounty on his life was activated globally.

What we know so far is most of the casting, which is pretty impressive. Besides Reeves, we have the aforementioned Halle Berry playing possibly and old flame of Keanu. Ian McShane (Deadwood, Hot Rod), Common (Selma, Terminator: Salvation), Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix, Boyz n the Hood), Lance Reddick (The Wire, Oz), and Ruby Rose (Orange is the New Black, xXx: Return of Xander Cage) are all returning.

Pretty tight graphic right? In addition to Berry, the new additions include Angelica Huston (The Addams Family, Prizzi’s Honor), Hiroyuki Sanada (The Last Samurai, The Wolverine), Jason Mantzoukas (The League, The Dictator), Asia Kate Dillon (Orange is the New Black, Billions), and last but certainly not least BOBANNNN MARJANOVICCCCCC (The best player in NBA history).

BOOM, TWO GRAPHICS. Those are some great additions to the Wick-verse, and I can’t wait to see what they bring to the franchise. We already know that it is going to take place a decent amount in NYC, picking up right where Chapter 2 left off. So presumably Wick is going to try and take out the High Table or something. Whatever the case, I can’t wait. Also, not for nothing, but the Keanu training video for John Wick 1 is still one of the most badass behind the scenes features ever.
