Is Aaron Rodgers The Biggest Waste Of Talent In NFL History

Aaron Rodgers is going to be 35 by the end of the season. If the Packers never win another Super Bowl with Rodgers, will this be the greatest waste of talent in NFL history? Rodgers has the highest passer rating of all time, and it’s not even close.

For the better part of the last decade, Green Bay’s defense has been the only thing stopping them from becoming a dynasty. 2010 was the only year under Rodgers that the Packers had a top-15 defense in the league, and they went on to win the Super Bowl. The very next year, they gave up the most yards in the entire league and were rated 19th in defensive scoring. That year, the Packers were 15-1 in the regular season before losing to the Giants in the divisional round.

Green Bay finally got rid of Dom Capers, who had been their defensive coordinator since 2009. They picked up cornerbacks in the first two rounds of the draft, and it looks like the Packers’ defense won’t be in the cellar this year.

The writing is on the wall for Rodgers, the Packers only have a few years left to try to make a run with him under center. If the Packers only win one Super Bowl with the most accurate quarterback in the history of the NFL, where does Rodgers rank among the biggest wastes of talent in NFL history?
