Great News: Professional Kabaddi Will Be Back In Our Lives Again In Just A Week

So ESPN is bringing ESPN 8 back next week. I know we hate ESPN and everything but there’s nothing to hate about The Ocho. It’s one day in the middle of the summer, there’s almost nothing else to watch, and then here’s an entire day dedicated to random ass games. You’ve got dodgeball, you’ve got sumo, you’ve got chess boxing, you’ve got classic beach games like cornhole and spikeball. And most importantly at 1pm on Wednesday August 8, we’ll have televised Kabaddi back in our lives.

Now if you’re new around here, you’re probably thinking to yourself “Just what in the fucking heck is Kabaddi?”. Well over the last few years or so, I’ve sort of become the internet’s leading expert on Kabaddi. I still don’t know any of the rules or anything like that but I know it’s essentially an extreme game of tag and it’s dope as hell. Here are some highlights from the Pro Kabaddi League in case you haven’t seen it already.

And here are some highlights from all the action last year on ESPN 8 Day.

Pound for pound, Kabaddi is easily one of the most entertaining games the world of sports has to offer. You’re left on the edge of your seat during the entire match despite not knowing or understanding a single rule. The only unfortunate thing about Kabaddi on ESPN 8 is that I’m almost certain it will just be a replay of a match that was already played. Pretty sure it’s not live Kabaddi we’ll be watching. Which means that you won’t be able to bet on the games at all. So that part kind of sucks. But I’ll tell you this right now. The moment we can finally get some live Kabaddi action televised, I’ll be parking my ass in Atlantic City and making millions and millions and millions on this beautiful game. I just won’t be around to blog about it anymore because I’ll be too damn rich to need a job.

See you bitches on the 8th.
