If There Were Ever An NHL Coaches Battle Royale, Rod Brind'Amour Would Kick The Shit Out Of Everybody
Fucking Christ. Rod The Bod. 48 years old and still clangin’ & bangin’ harder than most of the dudes he’ll be coaching this season. From the looks of it, I’d say those are at least 25-30 lb dumbbells. And not only is he doing lateral raises, but he’s releasing the weight at the peak for that extra burn and explosiveness. You think Bruce Boudreau is getting a pump on like that on his birthday?

I’m running down the list of current NHL coaches right now and I really don’t see anybody who would even put up a decent fight against Rod the Bod. I mean I guess you have Rick Tocchet in Arizona who could hang in there for at least the 1st round. But after that, I just don’t see Rick having the gas to stay in that fight for much longer. Same goes for Peter Laviolette. I think he could hang in there for a round just based on heart and jam alone. But that can only take you so far. Gerard Gallant could be a sneaky dark horse in that fight and I feel like he has a lot of pent up rage just ready to unleash. But again, Rod Brind’Amour is just too strong, too fast, too sexy.
