Patrick Reed And His Family Had Some Issues With The Red Sox Tickets The PGA Tour Gave Them
Okay so I was REALLY confused by that Patrick Reed tweet. Sounds like everybody else was too. The second tweet helps it make more sense. So the PGA Tour gave Patrick Reed and his family tickets to the Red Sox game last night. Apparently the tickets were in the “line drive section” so they paid $650 to upgrade to better seats and the better seats were where the rest of the pro golfers were sitting at the game. Got it? Got it. Okay so the way I’m reading that is Patrick Reed and his family got jerked around by the PGA Tour with their tickets. The first tweet does not come off that way.
Listen, say what you want about Patrick Reed. He’s a polarizing figure in golf because of his past (and his present to be honest) but he’s Captain America. He might be a cocky dickhead from time to time but he’s a Ryder Cup hero and the PGA Tour should at least give him the same Red Sox tickets as everybody else. Don’t out him and his family in the line drive section*, That’s what he’s bitching about. This isn’t an Ian Poulter nanny situation. People will jump on Reed and label him a cry baby but I get what he’s saying. Just give him the same tickets as everybody else right off the bat and everything would be fine. There wouldn’t be any controversy.
*I have consulted with Red Sox blogger/host of Starting 9/host of Section 10/MLB fantasy expert Jared ‘The Saugus Rocket’ Carrabis and there’s no such thing as the line drive section
