So Ariana Grande just put up that picture of Mac Miller. No caption. Just a picture of Mac and her feet. It’s a very sweet picture. Before that post she hadn’t said anything publicly about Mac Miller’s death since the news broke yesterday. Pretty wild and pretty awful 24 hours for Ariana Grande. Not only did her ex-boyfriend die of a drug overdose at 26 but people on the internet went ahead and blamed her for his death. They blamed her so much that she had to disable the comments on her Instagram.

I do wanna say this, you gotta be a REAL asshole to blame Ariana Grande for Mac Miller’s death. Like a true to-the-core asshole. People see that Ariana and Mac broke up recently, then Mac got a DUI in May and now he overdosed and died and assholes on the internet think, “You know what I’m gonna do? I’m gonna comment on Ariana Grande’s instagram about how this is ALL HER FAULT.” That’s such a crazy thing to do that it’s almost unfathomable. Like she was hoping for this so happen or some shit.
Addiction and depression are mother fuckers. They’re nasty beasts. Mac Miller clearly had his addiction and depression demons because he talked about them publicly and often. He was an open book about that stuff and it was one of the reasons people loved him so much. There’s a whole lot more going on in the death of Mac Miller and for people to be like, “Well I’m upset about it so I’m gonna blame Ariana Grande” is beyond stupid. Those are stupid people who do that.
Those people are clearly Mac Miller fans so they should be celebrating Mac Miller instead of unfairly trying to pin his death on somebody. That’s an incredible waste of time. Throw on K.I.D.S.. Throw on Best Day Ever. Throw on Blue Slide Park. Talk to your friends about how much you loved Mac Miller and his music. Don’t go on your phone and tell Ariana Grande she’s a piece of shit and it’s her fault that he’s dead. It’s not. I guarantee she’s already dealing with an entire heap of terrible right now.
