Hand Up. I Owe Little Bobby Kravitz An Apology. Credit to Me for Apologizing

So here is what separates me from almost every other human on the planet.  As much as I enjoy gloating and celebrating and being right about everything I’m also the first guy to put my hand up when I make a mistake.  To take responsibility for my shortcomings.  Well I’m here to do that tonight.  Earlier today I tweeted a video of myself popping a custom bottle of Patriots Ace of Spades champagne over Bob Kravitz getting fired from the Indy Star.   Who is Bob Kravitz you ask?  He was one of the main instigators in Deflategate and became one of my arch enemies during that time period. I actually bumped into him during Media Day at the Supebowl and this is how the now defunct Grantland described the meeting:

Kravitz was at the media center when a man approached him. “I hesitate to acknowledge his existence,” Kravitz said. “But there was this guy from Barstool Sports Boston, which I guess is like a fanboy, softcore porn thing.” “I said, ‘I think your website is garbage,’” Kravitz recalled. “Everything you’ve written about what happened is completely wrong and completely misrepresents who I am and what I did.” Portnoy doesn’t remember Kravitz saying that. (I actually said Kravitz was a liar) “What he said to me was the reason he wouldn’t go on camera was because I had his source wrong.” Portnoy had written a post fingering the now-famous Mike Kensil as Kravitz’s source. Portnoy hadn’t included any “I think” caveats. Kravitz recalled, “I said, straight up, ‘You can speculate that Mike Kensil gave Kravitz all this stuff. You can’t say with 100 percent certainty that he was my source.’ “He said, ‘Who was your source?’” “I said, ‘Go fuck yourself.’”

If Patriots owner Robert Kraft has an ounce of integrity, he will fire Bill Belichick immediately for toying with the integrity of the game for the second time in his otherwise magnificent career — the first issue being the SpyGate fiasco that earned Belichick and the team fines and a forfeited first-round draft choice.

If Roger Goodell has an ounce of integrity, and he’s not spending all his time going to pre-game soirees at Kraft’s mansion, he will not only fine Belichick and take away draft choices, but suspend the head coach for the upcoming Super Bowl.

Anyway back to present day.  I never forgot or forgave him for the things he said about me,Barstool and the Patriots.  I waited patiently for his demise.  For a day I knew would come.  Alas today was that day.  Sure some may argue that my video was petty and childish.  Guess what?  So am I.   A tiger can’t change his stripes.  But that’s not to say I’m not trying.  Because as a sign of growth and maturity  I was only going to tweet the video and I wasn’t going to blog it.   I was going to keep it strictly on social.  Unfortunately I made a huge mistake.   Bob Kravitz was not fired from the Indy Star.  He was laid off by WTHR-13.   That’s a totally different company.  He hasn’t worked at the Indy Star in years.  That’s my fault.   My apologies to Little Bobby for the mistake.  Credit to me for owning it.   Credit to me for only posting it to point out that I was wrong.  Just another chapter in the continuing evolution Davey Pageviews.
