The Best Movie From Each State: Results For Illinois, Voting For Indiana
The results from the thirteenth installment of my totally normal and not insane 51 week study of the top three movies from each state are IN. Remember everyone got three votes, so the percentages reflect how many times they appeared on every individual vote. For the Prairie State, this is what y’all chose.
3. The Blues Brothers (68%)
Maybe the best/funniest car chase scene of all time. An absolutely classic comedy that takes place all over Chicago.
2. Home Alone (52%)
While not a super explicitly Illinois movie, it’s a well observed fact that it takes place in the suburbs just north of Chicago.
1. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
Being honest, I never wholly connected with this movie like a lot of people do. It’s greatness in both the coming-of-age genre and Chicago themed movies is unbeatable, though.
Here is the breakdown:
This was such an absurd state to try and vote for, maybe even more so than California. The fact that more than one write-in movie achieved even a single percent is a wild. Anyway, on to the Hoosier state. Wonder what the Heartland guys are gonna think of this. As always, if a movie you like isn’t on the list, shut up. It’s not left off. Just write it in. Write it in. Write it in. Write it in. DON’T TWEET ME OR BITCH ABOUT IT. WRITE. IT . IN. If the embedded form doesn’t work, click here.
