Adrian Beltre's Career Highlights (The Fun Ones) Are Just Delightful
Note: I know these aren’t his career highlights I just didn’t feel like putting “Adrian Beltre’s Highlights From His Time On the Texas Rangers” in the headline. It’s a little wordy. Bad for SEO.
You know what that was? It was pleasant. Just a marvelous way to spend two and a half minutes. We don’t have enough Adrian Beltres in the world, if you ask me. Adrian Beltre was (is was right here? It feels like I’m saying he died. To be clear Adrian Beltre is alive, just retired. Not retired from life, but from baseball) a wildly talented fella who played the game with a childlike joy that we all like to think we would’ve played with if we had an ounce of his ability. Wearing backward helmets, fucking with teammates on fly balls, swinging at balls that brought him to his knees, and attacking anyone who dared touch his head. Adrian Beltre never grew out of tee ball, and for that we are all eternally grateful.
