Three Things To Look Out For This PBR Season As We Kickoff The Year At The Buck Off At The Garden
1. Will Jess Lockwood return to 2017 form?
Jess Lockwood is looking for a bounce back year after tearing his groin and missing most of the 2018 season. One might say that the youngster got cocky and stopped taking care of himself once he won a World Championship in 2018. But, no sir you won’t be hearing me say that about Jess. As far as I’m concerned a man that cannot even buy liquor legally in this country is exempt from criticism until he’s able to do so. Especially if that man is a World Champ. Jess will be just fine and I expect him to be in the mix for a world title this year.
2. Can Bruiser four-peat?
It’s truly amazing what Bruiser has accomplished these past couple years. I know alot of people think that it’s almost destiny after losing his brother Pearl Harbor (pictured below)
(Rest in Peace)
and I can’t say that I completely disagree. Bruiser was obviously stout all season, but he seemed to pick it up just a little bit after that happened. I don’t think Bruiser will succumb to any pressure or anything of that nature, but to be so dominant for so long is just way too hard. I see another bull being named World Champion this year.
My official prediction to be the 2019 World Champion bull is: Smooth Operator
3. Can J.B. Mauney stay healthy and get back to his World Champion status?
The man who keeps the sport on its toes. The man who runs the locker room. The man who does it all.
Mr. J.B. Mauney.
Look, it’s no secret that I’m a J.B. Mauney guy. He’s been my favorite since I’ve been following along, and I’ve been absolutely sick by what’s happened to him the past couple years. Injury after injury to what seemed like may have been the end of the road for the former 2 time champ. But, if you thought that he was going to go out like that you’re sadly mistaken. Mauney was born to ride bulls and he’s going leaving this sport without another championship.
My prediction is that Mauney will win this whole thing once again and become a 3 time champion.
Cheers to the start of a new PBR season everybody.
