THE WAIT IS OVER: Future Hendrix Announces A New Album Dropping In Two Weeks

(P4K) – Future has announced a new album. The as-yet-untitled project is out January 18 via Epic Records/Freebandz Entertainment, according to a press release. The album is led by Future’s new single “Crushed Up,” which arrives with a music video directed by Spike Jordan and Sebastian Sdaigui.

A week before the album drops, on January 11, Future will release a new documentary called The WIZRD on Apple Music. According to a press release, “The feature-length film follows the artist closely and peeks into corners of his world never seen before,” and also “opens up a window into his story and creativity.” Prior to the Apple Music release, Future will host screenings in Los Angeles (January 8 at iPic Theaters) and New York City (January 10 at iPic Theaters at Fulton Market – South Street Seaport).

Last year, Future released the mixtape BEASTMODE 2 and the Juice WRLD collaboration WRLD on Drugs. His last albums, FUTURE and HNDRXX, came out in 2017 and topped the charts in consecutive weeks.

Fire Marshal Future. Future Hendrix. Super Future. Future Vandross. The Astronaut. Future Luther King, Jr. The WIZRD has finally announced his triumphant return. Get in formation kings, our problematic favorite has returned.

A few weeks back on IG he was in Saudi Arabia riding camels and driving cars that cost more than the GDP of most moderate sized countries talking about new music coming. But rappers lie. A lot. Especially about new music coming. So an official press release and an Apple Music documentary the week prior leads me to buy this more than I typically would. And the best thing about new Future music pretty much guarantees there will be even more Future music immediately after this drops. The way certain people cream their sheets over new Beyoncé music or any other massive artist like that is how I react when Future drops. So look for me to be in an anthropomorphic puddle on the floor like Alex Mack in two weeks. I’m not ready to call 2019 the greatest year of all time just yet but I certainly cannot prove that it *isn’t* the best year of all time, either.

Considering his multiple personalities in his music you never truly know what kind of Future is about to bless us. But the fact that he’s dropping a documentary the week prior called THE WIZRD, and the ethereal instrumental for the lead single, my sleuthing leads me to believe we’re getting a heavy dose of witchcraft and wizardry in a fortnight. Which is A OK with me. I never know what I need from Future. When he dropped FUTURE and HNDRXX in consecutive weeks I had no idea that I needed that yin and yang in my life, but I did. I didn’t know I needed BEAST MODE 2 last summer, but what do you know? I absolutely did. When “Move That Dope” dropped prior to HONEST I had no clue I was supposed to be whipping up cocaine by the kilo in my mother’s kitchen, and while that case is still open and ongoing I can say that Future was right again. Not always there when I call but always on time Future is what I like to call him.

And since it’s Friday and you’re not working anyways, here are a shit ton of Future songs to get you ready for the weekend.
