(News18) The unidentified man was watching a video on his phone when he paused it and asked his hairstylist to give him the exact look, reported the Daily MailNot realizing that the triangle in the video was a ‘play’ button icon, the barber diligently recreated the look step-by-step.

As a result, the man was left with huge triangular patches on both sides of his head.

The Chinese have a gift for copying things. I’ve been rocking a fake Canada Goose jacket this winter(retail value $1200, fake value $80)IMG_2105and it looks and feels so legit that people think I’m wealthy now. I’ve over heard hushed whispers in the office about how “Donnie’s getting that WHOA THAT’s WEIRD MONEY,” which isn’t quite the case…yet. However, when it comes to copying things,, and I mean this in the least offensive way possible, the Chinese need to work on their critical thinking skills.  Just take a look at these translations.

I’ve lived in China long enough to be wary of the fact that if you give a Chinese person something to copy, they will make an exact duplicate, with no exceptions. That’s why when I get haircuts I’m a bit more careful than the dude above who ended up with a play button on both sides of his head. For example, when I went to a chinese barber and asked to look exactly like the famous mogul Dave Portnoy (pre-hair plugs)

I had to be VERY VERY careful that I didn’t want his bald spot included in the look.

That’s called due diligence my friends, and in China, you can never have enough of it.
