I'm Not Sure Fernando Tatis Jr.'s Bat Has Landed From This Walk-Off Bat Flip In The DR Last Night

Baseball is just better in the DR, Puerto Rico, or anywhere in Central America because of stuff like this. There are no rules. Brian McCann isn’t going to be waiting at home plate like a disappointed father ready to tell you how you disrespected the game of baseball. If you hit a walk off homer, you can do whatever the hell you want. You want to try and see if you can flip your bat higher than the ball you just launched into the stands? You might be endangering fans, but the hell with it give her a go! Fans might need to be on the lookout for a flying bat coming down from 200 feet in the air, but you kind of sign up for that when you go to a baseball game in the DR.

Fernando Tatis Jr. is one of, if not the top prospect in all of baseball (probably second to Vlad Jr). He was traded from the White Sox to the Padres for Big Game James Shields a few years ago, a trade that which the White Sox will regret for many years. He just turned 20 years old and should find his way into the big leagues sometime this upcoming season I presume. I hope he brings his bat flips to the U.S. because I can’t get enough of them. One time I just wish Aaron Judge would do this after hitting a ball 600 feet. Just one time instead of putting your head down and being humble about it, break character and go heel. Just once.

I always go back to watch Frankie Lindor’s electric homer in Puerto Rico. The roar from the crowd the moment the ball clears the stands is nothing short of thunderous.
