Gucci Made A High-End Blackface Sweater: Shockingly, It Turns Out That Was A Mistake
High-end fashion is a wild game. One minute you think you’ve got the next viral sweater and the next minute you are alt-control-deleting it from your online store and issuing an apology.
Truth be known, I saw that picture floating around the internet yesterday and thought, “no fucking way that’s real. It’s a photoshop.” I did my diligence and tried to search for it on google. Nothing. I went to Gucci’s website and let me tell ya, that thing is a real piece of shit and hard to navigate. High fashion is not for me and it’s not just because some of the stuff is openly racist. I dont like racist clothes. I want to be firmly on the record about that. For instance, look at this guy.
I know what you are thinking.
“Chaps, the shoes probably tie the entire outfit together. It probably makes up for his hair and weirdo glasses. SHOW US THE SHOES, DAMNIT!”
Ok. Ok. Here. Here are the shoes.
The worst shoes I’ve ever seen. Those sandals are terrible. Beyond terrible, even. Honestly, the only thing I like about Gucci is their headbands. Those are fantastic. But now I cant wear one because of this scandal. I cant be tied to that.
