This Reporter Getting Licked During An Interview And Choosing Not To React Is A Goddamn Saint
I don’t know who this reporter is or what he does, but he deserves a fucking medal for not turning around and beating that guy to death with his microphone. I mean he LICKED him on air. Not got too close while he was doing his story or made a funny face on camera or yelled something stupid. He licked him. Repeatedly. Apparently the guy is some sort of comedian?
Source - Even before anchor Dwight Drummond throws to Glover in the field, a man (comedian Boyd Banks) can be seen poking his face almost desperately over the reporter’s shoulders.
Banks is described in his professional bio as “a popular stand up comedian and actor” as well as “one of the favourite alternative comedians on the scene.” He was born in Saskatchewan but now calls Toronto home.
Banks has not yet commented publicly on the incident, nor have Glover or the CBC. It is not yet known if assault charges will be filed, as so many on Twitter would like to see, but it’s safe to say that the comedian’s hard-earned reputation is trashed right now—if not forever.
All I know is that whoever he is, he deserves life behind bars without the possibility of parole. Look at this creep. On second thought, don’t even lock him up just give him the chair.
That poor guy was doing his job, reporting on a story he probably doesn’t give a shit about and has to deal with this crap. He’s a better man than I am because I can’t imagine any scenario, professional or personal where I’d tolerate that level of disrespect for that long. And if I did, I definitely wouldn’t respond like this:
“Things are getting a little awkward out here, so I’m going to pass it back to you, Dwight,” says Glover in this week’s greatest understatement.
What a Saint. God bless you, Chris Glover. I hope you get the raise you deserve.

PS: All I could think of while I was writing this was Bruce Almighty freaking out on Evan Baxter.
