Telegraph - A farmer has accused vegans of crushing two piglets to death after causing a stampede during their efforts to cuddle the newborn pigs.

200 vegans from the group “Meat the Victims” stormed a farm in Lincolnshire in order to protest against pork.

However, in their efforts to raise awareness about the “cruelty” of pig farming, they were accused of causing distress to the animals and inadvertently causing the death of two.

Farmer Sylvia Hook, from Sandilands Farm on Newark Road in Laughterton, said the vegans terrified her family and caused damage to the farm.

She told Lincolnshire Live: “About 50 of them all piled into a farrowing house, immediately the sows are jumping up and down.

“It’s caused the death of two young piglets through being squashed and two other piglets I’ve had to be taken away to get up and running again.”

“They were picking piglets up, cuddling them – there was a lot of screaming going on. Piglets don’t want to be cuddled. Then unfortunately, they were putting the piglets back in the wrong pens.

BOOOOOO, VEGANS, BOOOOOOOOOOOO!

To be completely honest, I could not possibly care less if someone is a vegan or not. To each their own. But this is a perfect example of vegans thinking they are so much better than everyone else. Guess what vegans? Maybe those pigs didn’t want to cuddle with you, ever think about that? They are just trying to live their piggie lives, they don’t want your filthy paws on them. And they certainly, absolutely do not want to be trampled so you can make some non-point. That’s the saddest thing I’ve ever read. Those little fellas are minding their own business, rolling around in mud, having the time of their lives, and next thing they know some unruly humans are storming their pen like it’s Normandy. Shit ain’t right.

And guess what, weirdos? People love to eat pigs. We just do. I had a pulled pork sandwich last night and it was delicious. Weirdly though it didn’t come with the option of a nice slaw on top. I love slaw on my pulled pork sandwich. Not too much that it overpowers the BBQ taste, but it’s a nice compliment and can add a nice crunch texture to the meal. I also got a side of sweet potato fries. The waitress was like “that is going to be more money” and I was like hah, I get paid bi-weekly, that’s ok with me. I cannot imagine a scenario where I’d say “no, I won’t pay 1 more dollar for the food that I want to eat”. I almost feel insulted when they tell me it’d be more money. Do I look like I cannot afford sweet potato fries instead of regular fries? Unless it’s like, $50,000 dollars to upgrade my side, I want my side upgraded.
