Carlos Santana Was Sick And Tired Of Some Young Phillies Playing Fortnite During Games Last Year So He Decided To Just Smash The Clubhouse TV

Washington Nationals v Philadelphia Phillies

Is there any way to get Carlos Santana back in Philly right now? Because if the Phillies are going to do any real damage with this new lineup, they need this man back in the clubhouse. He doesn’t even need to play. He just needs to be around to instill the fear of god into every single player under the age of…let’s say…25-years-old.

We’ve heard stories across all different sports about this newer generation of athletes being addicted to video games. And especially so with Fortnite completely taking over the lives of anybody and everybody who were probably too young to remember when video games were actually good during the PlayStation/PlaySation2 days.

Back in the day, professional athletes used to work their asses off during the games and then everybody would head out to the bar afterwards and get completely shit faced off of approximately 82 beers and dominate and entire carton of cigarettes. That’s back when men were men. But nowadays, these fucking kids just hang out drinking protein shakes, eating kale flavored lollipops, and sit at home to play their video games. It’s all they care about. And apparently some of the younger Phillies in the clubhouse last year couldn’t even wait until they got home to play their precious little Fortnite. So they decided to play a few rounds IN THE MIDDLE OF A GODDAMN GAME. While the team was losing, no less.

Thankfully, Carlos Santana was there to set them straight. And he wasn’t just going to tell them to knock it off. He wasn’t just going to tell them to act like professional athletes. He was going to let his actions do the speaking for him, so he took his bat and smashed the goddamn TV. Gonna be pretty tough to play some video games when you don’t have a screen to play them on, huh?

You think Chase Utley was playing video games during the season? You think Jimmy Rollins was playing video games during the season? Pat Burrell? Ryan Howard? Chooch? Heck no. Those were a bunch of full grown men who wanted nothing more than to be dominant and bring championships home to this city. If playing video games is more important to you than competing, well then you can hop on the next flight out of this city. I’m just glad that Carlos Santana was there to set the record straight. I’m sure the guys in that clubhouse now won’t let it fly either, but it sure would be nice to still have Santana around as an insurance policy.
