Wake Up With Josh Donaldson Making Another Unreal Tarp Catch

How can you not love Josh Donaldson. The fact that he has several catches where he is full extension either into the stands or onto a tarp, the guy has one speed and it's fucking balls to the wall. This catch is insanely hard just because of how much ground he has to cover. Everyone knows there is roughly 300 feet of foul ground beyond the bases in Oakland's ballpark. Factoring that in, Donaldson has to run nearly a mile to get this ball. Not just that, there is a big tarp in his way too. He tracks the ball all the way to the warning track, slows up, finds his surroundings, and seems to hit another gear and dives headfirst into the tarp like it was a pool and not a large object that could break his face. Just no regard for his life at all and makes the catch. He still has the wit to jump up and try to stop the runner from advancing, but can't do that. Regardless of the runner advancing, it's an insane play that maybe only Arenado makes. No other third baseman makes that play, especially with how far he has to run.
