Police Chase Cuts Through UTA Cheer Competition & The Squad Is Unfazed

Yesterday the University of Texas Arlington cheer squad was in the midst of showing off their best routines for fellow students on campus before heading off to the NCA (National Cheerleader Assc.) college nationals in Daytona, Florida this coming weekend.

Everything seemed to be going well when suddenly a young man sprinted across the cheer mat. Moments later, a cop came barreling in after him and they chased each other around & off scene.

It really do, Ali.

No word on whether or not the cop got the guy, but looking at the video again I’m going with a solid, “nope”. The gent running would have earned extra points with me if he’d done some sort of kart wheel on the mat since he had a fair lead.

Also, I think this is good vibes for UTA going into the cheer competition; they didn’t blink an eye or buckle on a single thigh-stand-half-extension-roundoff-backspring-tuck-pike-out.

Jazz hands all around & best of luck in Daytona to a solid squad.
