Patrick Reed (Wink Wink) Is Worried That His Estranged Family Is Going To Show Up To The Masters

GOLF- Patrick Reed’s family lives just six miles from Augusta National, but Reed himself hasn’t set foot in their house since 2012. His parents and sister haven’t met his two children. And their estrangement led to a complex, emotional subplot when Reed won the green jacket last year as the family hosted a watch party from their house.

On Tuesday, the New York Times released a story detailing Reed’s desire that his family keep their distance — even as he recognizes they may not. He even suggested they may try to attend the Masters. “I wouldn’t at all be surprised if they show up,” he told Karen Crouse.

Round and round we go with the story of Patrick Reed hating his family coming up during Masters week!

We’ve talked about it before but the folks at Augusta have to HATE HATE HATE that this continues to be a thing surrounding their tournament. The Green Jacket Brigade can’t wait until someone else is crowned the winner so they can finally move on, unless Patrick Reed wins again and we do this all over again next year. I’m actually rooting for that to happen because that would be the most interesting scenario. It’d be great for guys like me if Reed won every foreseeable green jacket just so him and his family circus are the topic of conversation every April.

By the way, don’t think for one second any of this is Patrick Reed’s fault. He is completely innocent in this whole thing. How is that possible, you ask? If you’ve been paying any sort of attention, you know what’s really going on

GOLF’s Alan Shipnuck reported in 2015 that the family schism came from Reed’s marriage to Justine Karain (now Justine Reed) when he was 22. In the ensuing years, Reed’s family has made efforts to reconnect.

The beef between Patrick and his family is 100000000% because of Justine and Patrick chose her over his actual family. If the estranged Reed family shows up on Augusta property it’ll be Justine who calls security and/or fights them herself. And now, Justine runs the whoooooooooooole show with Patrick Reed. She won the war and now she is king. Every move that Patrick Reed makes regarding his personal life and his professional life is at the order of Justine.

Just last month she called in David Leadbetter to help Patrick and I guarantee Patrick had no say in the matter. Reports came out that Reed’s current coach had no idea it was happening. Justine called in Leadbetter on her own because she thought her man needed help. Remember the famous dinner scene from Talladega Nights where Ricky Bobby’s wife demands nothing but excellence? That is literally how Justine Reed is.

All I’m saying is Patrick Reed better keep up his winning ways or this could happen
