Wake Up With The Korean Pop Band That Conquered Chicago This Weekend

Alright in case in you were sleepin or don’t give a fuck, Chicago was invaded and conquered this weekend by a Korean Pop Band known simply as BTS. Prior to this weekend I had zero K-Pop and BTS experience. Now I’m a level 5 although I admit idk what that means.

It started for me on Saturday morning while taking my dog Scottie Puppen for a walk. We’re local to South Loop and Soldier Field area so as you can imagine we take a lot of walks over there because it’s sweet. So there we are, walking along, minding our own business when we come across the 18th street bridge and stumble on what looks like a K-Pop refugee camp.

Diehards only. And not just in and around Soldier Field all weekend, but the chaos erupted well into the Loop with their pop up store

Naturally not a lot of us knew what was going on because Chicago isn’t exactly the epicenter of Korean Pop music. But same time that leaves room to get educated and that’s exactly what I did. I got educated.

No clue what just happened but maybe this acid will help.

Anyways

Based on my research and Chicago entertainment tax law, you guys are welcome back any time* … just give me several notices (month, 2 weeks, week, 2 days out, etc.) and promise not to turn Lake Shore Drive into a parking lot again
