The Minor League Fresno Grizzlies Aired A MDW Tribute That Included A Clip Of Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, Kim Jong Un, And Fidel Castro As "Enemies Of Freedom"

Well, that’s one way to get the fans up for the game. I mean… it’s funny. Not in an anti-AOC way, nor in a “death to democrats!” way. It’s funny to think that some slovenly, pimple-faced summer video intern for the Fresno Grizzlies cut together a stirring Reagan montage, inserted a tiny piece of his own political opinion at the end, and nobody cared to check. And why would they? The higher-ups at Chukchansi Park have bigger fries to fry.
It’s like when Brad Pitt cuts in a split-second frame of a dong in Fight Club. Except this guy kept AOC’s face up for three seconds, and he sandwiched her between Kim Jong Un (“The entire United States is within range of our nuclear weapons; a nuclear button is always on my desk. This is reality, not a threat”) and Fidel Castro (Cuban missile crisis). Might have been a little heavy-handed there, kid.
Whether you love Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez or hate her, I hope we can agree that a democratically-elected U.S. Congresswoman shouldn’t be featured between Antifa, Kim Jong Un and Fidel Castro in the “enemies of freedom” section of a veterans tribute video. But I’ll throw the other side a bone for the sake of fairness: if some minor league women’s basketball team in Vermont decides to escalate this conflict with a response video where Trump is featured between spewing smokestacks and a harbor seal with its mouth lassoed by a six-pack handle, I’ll have words for them, too. Fair is fair. Let’s keep politics out of the seventh inning stretch/halftime show.
