SOURCE – The Marlborough Police Department in New Hampshire want people to stop bringing their horses to Old Town Road. Since the popular song from Lil Nas X was released people have been bringing their horses to Old Town Road to create a music video.
The Marlborough Police Department sent out a message on Facebook, Sunday:
“Please stop taking your horses down to our Old Town Road. This quiet neighborhood off Troy Road is not a suitable filming location for your amateur rap videos. For our older followers, please disregard this pop culture reference and continue your equestrian activities as usual.”
This is amazing. The thought of this happening had crossed my mind in passing after indulging in some fine herb but I never imagined it would be like this. Kind of similar to when 2 Chainz had the pink trap house in the hood in Atlanta that everyone was going to take pictures at, but I thought for Old Town Road it would be in Kentucky or some shit like that not fucking New Hampshire.
A PSA from the Marlborough, New Hampshire Police Department trolling SoundCloud rappers is so god damn funny. “This quiet neighborhood off Troy Road is not a suitable filming location for your amateur rap videos” is an all-time line. The MPD is having NONE of these lil petty ass wannabe rappers fuckery on their turf. They are sick and tired of getting numerous calls of commotions and ruckuses coming from the usually somber Old Town Rd only to pull up and see a full fledged rap video being filmed on a dirt road in the sticks of New Hampshire. I imagine these middle-aged cops being absolutely perplexed by this and going home complaining to their wives about it and all of a sudden they hear the hook to Old Town Road blaring from their 11 year old son’s bedroom and the lightbulb flips on and they realize what the fuck is happening.
What a movement OTR has become. It brings a tear of joy to my eye how right I’ve been about this song and how wrong all the haters have been. Shoutout the legend Lil Nas X, keep ballin’ young king.
