Gameday Throwback - The St. Louis Blues Become An NHL Team In 1967
1967 was a long long time ago. We’ve seen the Vietnam War, the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the invention of the iPhone in between but have never seen the St. Louis Blues win a Stanley Cup. Tonight, that can all change in the most dramatic of fashions. Game 7 is upon us folks and every single player/coach/fan/staff member in Blues history lives and dies with this team tonight.
Today is judgement day. We will all know our fates tonight sometime after 8pm and will have to live with it either way. The city of St. Louis wants it so goddamn bad and is completely ready to explode right now. Enterprise Cetner and Busch Stadium are both sold out to watch Game 7 tonight. There is just no scenario that gets bigger than this if you’re a hockey player/fan.
I am ready for it. This is an unbelievable moment in time that we are all living in right now. We will remember this day forever no matter what happens. I believe in this team. I believe in the Hockey Gods. PLEASE LET THE RAT DANCE!!!!!!!
