Russell Westbrook Was Getting Ready To Go On Stage To Host A Comedy Show In Oklahoma When He Got Traded

Talk about your all time awkward moments. Obviously with NBA offseason happening in the summer we’ve seen guys in weird spots when they sign or news breaks of a trade, agreement, etc. Paul George was gambling and partying in Vegas when he got traded to the Clippers.

Naturally, Russ was hosting a comedy show in Tulsa tonight. The news broke like 5 minutes before the doors opened and Russ was getting ready to take the stage. It’s one of the more ironic situations considering the Internet just immediately made jokes about the trade – whether it was him and Harden together or just Chris Paul

Unfortunately they made a strict ‘no basketball questions’ memo for Russ tonight so we won’t be getting any of his gem quotes. But, I refuse to believe there won’t be a chant or mention or anything as the night goes on.
