We Bid a Fond Farewell to One of the All Time Sex Scandal Teacher Legends
I’ve been very concerned for a while now that I avoid any posts about Hall of Fame Sex Scandal Teacher Brittany Zamora, out of fear of overkill. She’s the most updated SST in the proud history of this feature. And she’s done too much for all SSToolies to let her be reduced to just some played out recurring SNL character we’ve all grown tired of.
But in her case, no. She deserves the sendoff I’m about to give her. Because she’s heading to jail. For what might actually be the final record she breaks in her storied career.
The facts:
The victim’s stepmother told police that she noticed that the boy was acting suspiciously and wanting to shut his door at night. She said she installed a parental monitoring app called “Sentry” on his phone and subsequently began getting alerts about inappropriate texts, so she confronted the boy. He told his stepmother that he had sexual contact with Zamora, according to the police reports.
According to court records, Brittany Zamora, a 27-year-old instructor at Las Brisas Academy, sent several sexually-charged texts to the sixth grader.
In one exchange, the boy texted Zamora, saying that he wanted to have sex with her. “I know baby!” she responded, according to court records. “I want you every day with no time limit.”
In another exchange, she texted him that “If I could quit my job and [have sex with] you all day long, I would.”
Police also say Zamora sent the boy naked photos and at least one picture of herself in lingerie.
The sexual relationship soon became more daring.
Police say Zamora played an educational video during one of her classes, according to documents first obtained by the Arizona Republic. While the video played, police say that Zamora and the victim sexually fondled each other in the back of the classroom.
According to police interviews, the victim and his friend stayed after school at Las Brisas Academy one day to prepare for a talent show. When the two boys were alone with Zamora in her classroom, they told police Zamora began kissing the 13-year-old, and asked his friend to stay in the room and be a lookout before they had sex. …
20 years in jail. TWENTY. That’s why she’s earned yet another blog, representing an unprecedented number of updates. After pushing the boundaries of deviant behavior to limits almost unreached in the annals of Sex Scandal Teachering and going to prison for 20 years, to do anything less would be an insult. She’s Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera or David Ortiz, taking a season long retirement victory lap, getting honored in every city on their last visits. Only we don’t have plaques, proclamations from politicians or memorabilia we can give her. I don’t have the authority to declare it “Brittany Zamora Day” in the city. She doesn’t have a number we can retire. Unless it’s her Prisoner Identification Number. But I’m pretty sure they retire those after one use.
All I have is this blog. It’s my way of saying goodbye to a first ballot Hall of Famer. And when she walks down the street (in the year 2039), people will say “There goes Brittany Zamora. One of the greatest SSTs that ever lived.”
