(SHANGHAIIST) Taiwanese water park is offering up extra-large discounts to those visitors who show off their big bellies. While a one-day ticket to Leofoo Water Park (六福水樂園) in northwestern Taiwan typically costs NT$599 ($19), those sporting some belly fat can get in for only NT$199 ($6) this weekend.

The promotion, aptly named “Whale Day” is pretty straightforward. Visitors who can “squeeze fats” from their “whale bellies” and jiggle it will receive a generous 70% discount off their tickets.

As someone who has lived in Asia, let me tell you that they still are fully on board with making fun of fat people. While the US is putting plus size models on every single magazine cover, Taiwan is making fat people do the truffle shuffle for cheaper waterpark tickets.

Just like Dave Portnoy, most Asians I’ve met still fully embrace the “fat people are funny because they’re fat” philosophy. My Chinese cleaning lady, Hu Ayi, frequently walks up to white girls I know in Shanghai and goes “Wow, you’ve gained weight!” They then shuffle away with tears in their eyes while she cackles her ass off.  The one fat Chinese guy I know was given the nickname “fatty” by his friends and now that’s the only name he goes by. Recently, a high school teacher in China made headlines for threatening her students with forced exercise sessions if they gained too much weight over Chinese new year. China also just released a movie called “Fat Buddies” where the whole plot is just two cops in fat suits farting, getting stuck in small spaces, and falling over.

As someone who finds Ashley Graham attractive, I don’t hate it but how do actual units feel about this water park promotion? Are you jiggling your rolls for that discount or does it feel too demeaning? Although I wouldn’t call myself fat, I definitely have enough belly meat to jiggle and wouldn’t have a problem shaking it if it meant cheaper hippo mode sessions.
