Nick Kyrgios Fires a Water Bottle 100 MPH At The Umpire's Chair, His Response: "It Slipped Outta My Hand"

I love Nick Kyrgios. LOVE. Dude launches his water bottle right at the chair umpire’s stand hard enough that the label stuck to it. His response after getting a warning? Yeah, just slipped out of his hand while he was drinking it. Classic water bottle slip. Kept a straight face the entire time too. Probably forgot he even did it. Pretty much like Jackie Moon when he tells Father Pat, “Suck my cock I’ll murder your family,” after he’s called for a travel.

Old tennis purists despise this guy, but he’s a world class entertainer on and off the court. He brings eyeballs to random events like this one in DC. Like it or not, he’s great for tennis. Not good, he’s great for the sport. Guys like Djokovic and Nadal hate him, but Federer and Murray love him. All I need is for Fed to like someone and I’m on board. Doesn’t matter what the rest of the world thinks as far as I’m concerned.

If he ever cared enough for two weeks straight he’d win a grand slam and the world would burn in front of him, but he doesn’t care. He’s through three matches in the Citi Open and looks great. Of course with him that could all change in an instant. Late in the second set last night, as he was cruising against Nishioka, he lost his mind and started screaming at his family/friends box (he doesn’t have a coach). He eventually gathered himself and won the match, but it can all turn in a split second with Nick.

Some of the highlights from last night are phenomenal. Especially this first clip. Just ridiculous power.
