Former Lacrosse Player Tom Kennedy Averaged TWENTY-NINE YARDS PER RECEPTION Against The Patriots Last Night

Thomas Kennedy, ladies and gentlemen.

For those of you who don’t know, Tom Kennedy is a former lacrosse player who played DI at Bryant University, and then played pro for a little with the Boston Cannons. But being a professional athlete in one sport wasn’t enough for Kennedy. So he decided to do the only reasonable thing and took a tryout with the Detroit Lions. And after that tryout at minicamp, Kennedy signed with the Lions. A guy who really didn’t even play college football until his senior year at Bryant, and then he turns around and earns himself a shot with the Lions out of minicamp. And then last night he gets in a little preseason action against the New England Patriots. Maybe you’ve heard of them before. Reigning Super Bowl champs and everything like that.

So would a former lacrosse player be a little nervous about going up against one of the best teams of all time in his first NFL experience? Goddamn right he wasn’t. Tom Kennedy got out there and had 1 reception for 29 yards.

Now as a journalist, it’s my job to do a little digging and get my hands dirty in some research. What I found is that Tom Kennedy is actually the greatest receiver in NFL history. Because right now, the man is averaging 29 yards per reception. When you’re looking back at the all time Y/R leaders, here is the list.

Not sure if you guys know how numbers work or not, but 29.0 is higher than 22.3. Which makes Tom Kennedy the all-time leader in yards per reception in the NFL. And he did it all as an undrafted former lacrosse player. You’d have to be the biggest brain dead sack of shit in the world to think that lacrosse players aren’t athletes.

P.S. – Did you guys know that Chris Hogan also used to play lacrosse?
