Trent Williams Might Play For The Redskins Afterall...In WEEK 2?!?!

What a freaking turn of events. I thought there was a 0% chance Trent Williams ever played for the Redskins again. I thought he would hold out forever if he had to. He has made $100 million, had a tumor misdiagnosed, and seemed content waiting it out. Every report said he was done with the Skins no matter what. And then today, out of the clouds, Deangelo Hall is reporting Trent could return as soon as next week. NEXT WEEK. What??

Maybe he just didn’t want to do training camp. Maybe he found it silly to sit out and leave all that money on the table. Maybe the dust settled and he was like “damn, I’m bored, might as well play”. Who knows. But what a win for the Skins if he comes back and play. HUGE win. Changes everything. Makes it more viable that Haskins plays this year. Makes Guice’s job a lot easier. Means way, way less of a chance Ereck Flowers ever starts at tackle (we’ll see how he does at guard before we kill him too much).

I hope to the good lord this is true. Trent coming back would mean so much. One time, Trent. One time.
