Spin Zone On Team USA Losing: We'll Finally Have Good Players In The Olympics And Won't Have To Hear Celtics Or Team Shamrock Bullshit
No need to rehash too much shit here, but we all know what happened. Team USA lost to France today in the quarterfinals of the FIBA World Cup – an event we consider the second tier behind the Olympics. More importantly it was our F-list roster after everyone backed out because of the weird scheduling.
That left us with a guy like Kemba Walker as arguably the best player on the roster.
What happens when non-UConn Kemba is the best player on the roster? You don’t win. He was flat out terrible today. Sure, you can point at Myles Turner vs Rudy Gobert – but Gobert is the better player. Team USA had the lead with Kemba out of the game, he comes back in and immediately goes ISO ball and refuses to give up the ball. He played phenomenal defense on Donovan Mitchell – who unfortunately plays for Team USA too.
Give me a team made up of: Zion, Harden, AD, LeBron, Kyrie, Steph, Klay, Kawhi, Paul George and Durant if he’s healthy and watch them win every game by 30. This happens every so often – typically every 16 years. America loses and then we send a loaded roster and win gold easily.
More importantly we don’t have to hear ‘Team Shamrock’ or in my words: Team 4 seed in the East.
We’re onto Tokyo.
