Wake Up With Playoff Baseball

Today is such a bittersweet day.  It’s bitter because the playoffs start and the end of the baseball season is looming.  But it’s also sweet because… playoff baseball.  The next month is awesome.  Playoff baseball fucks.

My opinion?  MLB playoffs are the best out of the 4 major sports.  Constant pressure with drama every single night.  I do think the argument can be made for NHL playoffs as well, but MLB playoffs take the crown.  There’s no bias when I say that, has nothing to do with baseball being my favorite sport.  Baseball shrinks and becomes smaller with more managerial moves, quicker hooks and more strategy and every pitch is do or die.

Tonight it’s do or die:  Milwaukee vs. Washington

We got Brandon Woodruff vs. Max Scherzer

Scherzer is one of the best pitchers in baseball obviously.  He could drop dead today and be a 1st ballot HoF’er.  Brandon Woodruff?  Well he’s just a really solid pitcher… but he’s not Scherzer.  Everything points to Washington winning and maybe even winning big tonight, at least at a glance.

And Vegas (obviously) thinks the Nats take it too

But me?  So much points to the Nats winning tonight (Scherzer, home game, etc.) and because of that the Brewers win outright.  No idea why.  That’s just my dumb brain’s justification.  Nothing says the Brewers should win with Scherzer pitching against them on the road, so of course they’ll win.

That and I got a DM that the entire team hates Craig Counsil and is performing a mutiny and they’re starting a bunch of AAA players with Christian Yelich managing for the night.  BET THE HOUSE on the crew because of that.  I am.***
