The World Needs More Craig Engels And His Majestic Mullet/Mustache Combo
Everywhere you turn there are people out there trying to tell you about how shitty the world is. Whether it’s about politics or Millennials destroying everything or whatever, there is no shortage of folks wanting to do nothing more than complain about the world we live in. But if that were truly the case–if the world was actually as shitty as whiny jackasses on the internet would like you to believe it is–well then how do you explain Gardner Minshew and Craig Engels?
I mean here we are in the year 2019 and we have just bore witness to two of the most iconic American sports figures of all time. And I know that people out there knew about Gardner Minshew before this season. I’m sure that track people out there knew about Craig Engels before this week. But for these two legends to both get fully introduced to the world at pretty much the same time?
Well that’s how you know that the world is having a moment. They immediately take you back to a simpler time. Just the look of these two makes you want to hop in a Pontiac Trans-Am, crush some Miller Lites and a pack of Marlboro reds, set up a barbell in your garage and just dominate some curls to the entirety of this playlist.
Sidenote: Apparently Craig Engels is currently in the middle of a controversy with the Nike Oregon Project. I just want to make it clear that I do not care about whatever that controversy is about one way or the other. All I care about is that mullet and mustache.
