Happy One Year Anniversary To Jimmy Butler's Infamous Timberwolves Practice

Man, this all time THIS LEAGUE moment feels like it happened 10 years ago, not one year ago today. Maybe that's because Jimmy Butler going crazy and telling all of his teammates they suck and they need him while beating the starters with scrubs and then calling KAT/Wiggins gigantic pussies was like the 10th craziest thing we saw last season. Obviously the entire thing was a setup and all part of Jimmy's plan to demand his way out of Minnesota (which eventually worked 13 games into the season) and it was one of the best NBA Twitter moments in recent memory. We all remember what a coincidence it was that Butler lost his shit and then just so happened to immediately have an interview with Rachel Nichols where they discussed the whole thing

but him basically admitting everything being reported on Twitter was true with a smirk on his face was priceless. We've seen players demand trades before, but nothing quite like Jimmy did a week before the regular season started. That's what made the whole thing so crazy to me, it's one thing to pull a stunt or demand a trade over the summer and in the offseason, but coming off a year where the Timberwolves FINALLY made the playoffs, you were treated like a hero by that fanbase and then boom a week before the season starts you destroy everything in your path. So wild you almost have to respect it. And because NBA Twitter rules we got some additional inside info on what really went down that wasn't discussed in that interview

Now that Jimmy is on his second team since this all went down, at least Heat fans can take a deep breath since he's signed for a ton of years and a ton of money. Sure that might not stop him from pulling similar antics during practice, but at least he's not going to be demanding to be traded. Plus if he tries to punk Dion Waiters or something like he did Wiggins I'm pretty sure Dion will swing at him and frankly that would be a casual Tuesday in the NBA.
