The Ovi Shot From The Ovi Spot Is Alive And Well In His 15th NHL Season

15th NHL season. 15th! Let that sink in. Time, where does it go? But one thing hasn’t changed, Ovi’s unstoppable shot on the PP from his office. 15 years in and it’s still as lethal as ever. Just so incredible that they know it’s coming and there’s nothing they can do about it. He’s putting that thing 110 MPH into the net and you’re going to have to die to try and stop him. There’s 2 things I hope- 1) there’s not another work stoppage/lock out. Figure it out, guys. We cannot afford to have Ovi miss a season or have a shortened season while he’s chasing Gretzky at such a ferocious pace. And 2) He doesn’t leave for the KHL until we have a better idea if passing Gretzky is possible. It’s a real possibility and selfishly I want to watch him go after it. Would be as fun as watching the Bonds HR chase, but with a 1000000x more likable guy.

PS: As I was writing this, SCCTW put in his first of the year, short handed no less.
