Dear Santa,

Is it just me or do these drunk Santa arrests happen earlier & earlier every year??? heh heh!

It turns out the man in the Santa suit was a suspect in the burglary of a storage shed from a local church Tuesday morning, where, police say, he likely got the Santa suit.
The man was arrested for burglary.
Police have not released the identity of the suspect but say he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs when officers found him inside his car at about 7 a.m. in the 600 block of Balsa Avenue in Brea.

He may have had a shot getting away with this had he waited until late November, but to be seen asleep in your car in a bright red Santa suit during southern California's notoriously toasty October… that's gonna bring some attention your way.

Regarding the photo - I don't know the rules here but feel like it would have been nice of Brea PD to blur his face (then again, here I am reposting it so…), but I do like that they let him keep the suit on. He looked snug as a bug while he slept that hangover off, though I'm guessing those first few moments after he woke up were slightly confusing.

Hopefully things start looking up for this fella. And maybe, juuust maybe, he'll find a reason to turn things around a bit in time for the Holidays…
