The second month of my trial ends this Thursday
Well, here we are again. The second month of my trial is coming to an end on Halloween and honestly, I had no idea what to expect. Not that I thought I wasn't going to make it. It's just always weird trying to figure that stuff out, no matter where you work and especially at a place like Barstool Sports. Fortunately, when I walked into Dave's office this morning to talk about the deadline he once again decided to "tack another month on". I was immediately very elated. As one is when they hear good news.
I kinda like the gimmick of just adding months on. It keeps me sharp, I never have a sense of job security. That might sound like a bad thing but being a nineteen-year-old who has no real responsibilities yet, it's not the end of the world by any means. I also like it because I tend to thrive when my back is against the wall.
So what's in store for Three Month Trial Ethan?
There's a lot of stuff I've been working on with KB. I'll continue to blog all sorts of random stuff as well as doing a lot more video this month. There have been whispers about the Chicago guys coming to NYC at some point this month. It should be interesting seeing WSD again…
Overall, it's a great time to be Ethan Kamps.
I just want to continue to thank Dave Portnoy. Without Dave, I'd still be folding jeans at an American Eagle, dreading going to class every other day at Western Connecticut State University. I am forever grateful.
