False Alarm — Adam Sandler Didn't Quit Being Jewish, His Twitter Was Hacked

HOLLYWOOD REPORTER — Adam Sandler's official Twitter account was hacked , according to a representative for the actor. 

Beginning at 5:34 p.m., a slew of offensive and racist messages were sent out from the actor's account, which has 2.4 million followers. 

Posts included messages such as "hate dem n—" and "i just had phone sex with @MariahCarey." Another tweet directed at President Donald Trump read, "@realDonaldTrump you're a racist cracker. RT if you agree. #2020 #fucktrump." 

Sandler's account also retweeted a user who wrote, "@BarackObama ur a arangatang monkey u ruined my life when u messed with food stamp rates i hate u forever retart."

I don't like to make it a business of calling out hackers but this is an absolutely unacceptable target for them. Mariah Carey is one thing, do what you want with her account:

But Sandler doesn't deserve this. Leave Adam Sandler alone (crying Britney Spears video voice.) 

I know "I got hacked" is kind of a suspicious excuse sometimes, but something about the content of Adam Sandler's Twitter page last night makes me believe him on this one. 

I'll admit I'm a little biased and there's a little bit of wishful thinking at play here — it's tough times for Jews lately, and it would be a big hit to lose the Sand Man from the crew.

Not to mention the issues he'd be running into with the African American community.

From what I know about Adam Sandler, I find it hard to believe he has ever physically logged into his account on his phone and pressed "send" on a tweet that he personally typed out. Before this flood of garbage his account was basically one big long timeline of Uncut Gem promos. Literally. Nothing but Uncut Gems promos. 

Oh, and this one retweet in the middle of the most iconic Sandler outfit I've ever seen.

I'm sure Twitter did absolutely nothing to stop it or help out other than sending a stock reply 9 hours later that "hacking to send racist tweets doesn't violate our terms of service" but luckily his reps got in there to shut everything down. 

As of now, Adam Sandler is still, to my knowledge, Jewish. False alarm.
