Mike Leach, big Barstool guy, loved my appearance on the Rundown

I love Mike Leach. Always have, always will. And now, fate has brought us together, as he is the new head coach of Mississippi State’s football team and I am the lead ambassador for the team, the athletic program and the state of Mississippi.

He’s also a huge fan of mine. He doesn’t follow me on Twitter yet because that would be too showy. But he displayed his Brandon Walker fandom Saturday by retweeting a two-day-old Rundown, a show that’s always improved by my presence.

I appreciate this, which is Leach’s subtle way of reaching out to me as the alpha male of the Mississippi State fanbase. I doubt he even knew who the other three guys in this video were. Also, coach, if you’re reading, maybe think about throwing me a follow on Twitter. No big deal.

Otherwise, I had a normal Saturday. It’s not like I drove 120 miles to four used bookstores in New York state in search of Mike Leach’s book just so I could desperately show him I was reading it. That’d be crazy.

Anyway, what a day. What a week. What a time to be the most important Mississippi State fan in the world. Just me and Mike Leach, taking over the SEC from Mick Sabam and those other guys. Who deserves it more than us? I was so inspired that I plugged in the PS3 and went to work.

I’m averaging 450 passing yards and 56 points per game through five games. I’m only 4-1 because Auburn cheats.
