Henry Cavill Liked His Witcher Costume So Much He Would Wear It Home
"I took it all home...It's not so easy to put on. It took two hours of hair and makeup every day, so that's just sitting at home looking cool."
Man, It's really hard not to love Henry Cavill. If you haven't caught 'The Witcher' yet, I think it's definitely worth a watch. The action is great, the dialogue is both intriguing and very funny at times, and the production value is fantastic. My biggest problem with it is the . timeline structure, which I don't think works too well. I think that issue deserves it's own blog, which I'll try out later. Anyway, Henry Cavill is indisputably awesome as Geralt of Rivia.
The thought of him going home in full costume and just hanging out with his dog Cal, who is adorable by the way, is awesome as all hell. Inspecting some torn open treats "Hmmm. Traces of saliva. Pawprints. A sturdy pile of wet shit not far away. Must be Cal".
He also talks a bit about how he played the games and read the books. You can really see that this character means something to him personally, and it's not just another job for him. That usually makes for a better performance, which I think comes through in his portrayal of Geralt. As also noted in the interview, Cavill being a PC player is also awesome. I always assume most popular celebrities, especially actors/actresses, just don't game at all. Even if they did, I'd just assume they were console players. To see a guy as jacked and handsome as Cavill being a big time nerd like me? Warms my heart.
P.S. Sorry I'm a little late on this, I've been shidding out my doo doo ass from stomach flu thanks to YP for the last week and change.
