This New Documentary About The Life Of Stephon Marbury Looks Fantastic
If there is one thing I love, it's basketball documentaries. Probably my favorite type of content and seeing as how NBA players are making documentaries left and right there are a ton of great ones to choose from recently. I've blogged them before, but I cannot recommend some of the recent ones we've had enough. There was that incredible one put out by Derrick Rose
then a few months later we had one about Giannis
then a few months after that there was Boogie's which followed him through his entire achilles rehab
and most recently we got one from Ron Artest
They were all awesome and 100% worth your time. Which brings us to this new one about Stephon Marbury. I have no doubt this is going to be just as good because how could it not be? There haven't been too many players quite like Marbury. This sort of reminded me of the other documentary we got about a Coney Island point guard Sebastian Telfair called Through The Fire that came out in 2005 (which was also awesome). I know Marbury has had his crazy moments, but let's not forget he was pretty damn good in his prime. From like 1998-2005 he was a lock for 20/8 and one of the best point guards in the league. The dude could get buckets with the best of em. His NBA journey was pretty nuts from early days with young KG, to making his first All Star game with the Nets only to be traded to PHX where he had another All Star season which ultimately led to his trade to the Knicks where he was…..a handful.
All I know is I cannot wait for this to come out because I find this stuff fascinating. It looks like they have some big names involved in telling Marbury's story, which to me makes this a must watch. Just wanted to make sure any other basketball stoolies knew this was a thing that was happening.
If you don't really remember Marbury and how he dominated the NBA, allow me to refresh your memory
