How Do You Get Over Heartbreak In Sports? American Tennis Player Tennys Sandgren Says To Take a Double Shot For Each Match Point You Don't Convert

I love that tweet. To be able to laugh about such heartbreak like that takes a special kind of sense of humor. I hope Tennys Sandgren got absolutely hammered in Australia today to help forget about that match. I don't think enough people know about Sandgren. I mean the fucking guy's name is TENNYS (pronounced tennis). He was born and raised in Tennessee and played two years at UT. He was named Tennys after his Swedish great-grandfather. What are the odds that he grew up in Tennessee and would go on to play professional tennis? Good enough tennis that he could take Roger Federer to the brink at the Australian Open. Zero. The odds are zero. No one is talking about this guy and they should be. 

Last night he blew SEVEN (7) match points in the 4th set. Here are all 7. The one at 6-5 in the tiebreak was legit hard to believe. This match was fucking insane. 

I mean there was also a rogue assassin ball girl going after his leg. Poor dude already had his left leg taped and here's a knee going right into his other calf. Dude couldn't catch a break late in the 4th set. 

Federer was just too much. Would have loved to see the American break through against anyone except Roger. Hopefully we hear his name again late in a grandslam in the future. American tennis needs a jolt from a guy named Tennys from Tennessee who is really good at tennis.
