The film will be released by The Walt Disney Studios in the United States and Canada on Oct. 15, 2021.
Producers for Hamilton, the film of the original Broadway production, include Miranda, Seller, and Kail, who also directs."
This is pretty cool, right? Finally a poor person with no patience like me can watch the masterpiece that is 'Hamilton'. By the way, much like the actual tickets themselves, this was NOT a cheap purchase for Disney....
That is an ABSURD amount of money to spend on a musical. I'm by no means a musical-head or whatever, but isn't the play a little past it's cultural moment? Please yell at me if I am wrong, but I truly am not sure. All I know is that I don't hear people talking about it that much anymore. That said, Lin Manuel Miranda's previous work, 'In The Heights', is also getting a big-screen adaptation and it's 10 years older than 'Hamilton'. Tough to say! All I know is that I would much rather see a movie for Trillballins Transformers X Hamilton mashup.
