A Young Tyler Childers Performing In Front Of A Couple Friends In A Living Room Taking You Into The Weekend
That's the crazy thing about life. One Friday night you're at a buddy's house with your guitar performing in front of like 3 or 4 people while your buddy's girl is typing away on her laptop. You figure there's this thing called YouTube that people have been uploading videos of themselves onto for a couple years now so you give it a try. You don't know what's going to come out of it. But you have a dream of making it one day so you figure why not. Apparently your buddy's girl isn't that interested in the song. Who cares? You have a dream. Someone else walks in and nobody's really paying that much attention anymore besides whoever is on the camera. Who cares? You have a dream.
So you grind and you grind and you grind some more because you have a dream. And then like 8 or 9 years later, you're performing on Late Night with Seth Meyers as a Grammy nominated artist for Best Country Solo Performance.
Basically what I'm saying is that maybe you're metaphorically still at the stage of your dream where you're performing in front of a couple buddies in a living room where half the room is having a separate conversation while you're trying to play your song. Whatever that dream is, just grind your fucking ass off. And also tell your buddy to get a new girlfriend because we don't need anyone dragging down the good vibes in the crew. That part isn't a metaphor.
Just a little motivation to send you into the weekend. Sue me.
Sidenote: If you're into Childers and haven't picked up on the Zach Bryan wave yet, change that immediately.
