There's Only 1 QB Who Can Save The Patriots Now...
It's a weird time to be a Patriots fan. After nearly 2 decades of brilliance from Tom Brady, he has chosen to take his talents to Tampa Bay, leaving the Pats in a QB lurch for the first time in ages. Sure he had a couple of injury-plagued seasons where backups like Matt Cassel filled in admirably, but the Pats never had to worry about completely starting over at quarterback until now.
So if you're the Pats, fresh off yet another AFC East title, what do you do? They are coming off a "down year" where they "only" went 12-4. Imagine your team going 12-4 and being disappointed? That's how high the bar has been set in New England. So obviously they want to get the best QB on the market. Not Teddy Bridgewater, not Nick Foles, not Chase Daniel. But the quarterback who is sitting out there who was put on the back-burner but is ready to start again. Who has battled through injuries but is ready to lead his team to the playoffs for years to come. Sure, he has question marks. But most quarterbacks do. And he's proven he is a leader. There is absolutely no doubt, zero doubt at all in my mind, that the Patriots should do everything in their power to sign

Robert Griffin III.
He's ready to return to the starting role after mentoring Lamar in Baltimore the last 2 seasons. The Patriots saw what Lamar is capable of and know RG3 was the brains behind the system. So they should be on the horn with Baltimore right this second trying to trade a mid-round pick for their new starter. Griffin is still only 30 years old with his best football ahead of him, and that football should be played in Foxborough. Do the right thing, Bill. Make the call.
