Dear, Chicago Bears. Don't You Even Think About It!
One of the cutest things in the NFL is just how desperately the Chicago Bears want to be the Philadelphia Eagles. They hired a head coach from the Andy Reid coaching tree to develop their franchise quarterback drafted 2nd overall. They employed Cody Parkey for a time. They acquired Trey Burton. And now just yesterday they traded for Large Dickolas Nicholas Foles.
The Chilladelphia Beagles once originated as a joke but it appears that the Bears are hellbent on making it a reality. Which again, is incredibly cute. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and the Eagles should feel truly flattered. However, there comes a point where enough is enough. And I swear to fucking god, if the Chicago Bears even THINK about going after Corey Clement, it is time to throw an actual fit online.
You see, I'm starting to think that the Bears are actually believers in magic. And now they're attempting to steal that magic away from the Birds. And what play in recent NFL history was more magical than the Philly special? As you may recall, that play was a direct snap to Corey Clement and then a pitch to Trey Burton who eventually threw the touchdown pass to Nick Foles. Remember? This play right here?
Nick Foles was the only quarterback in that Super Bowl to have a reception on the day. Former Patriot and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady had dropped the one target thrown his way.
But anyways, if the Chicago Bears go out and put all 3 players from the Philly Special on their roster then that will officially be the least chill move of all time. They'll no longer be invited to the Beagles family vacations.
